Preparations are well underway and the Call for Presentations close this Sunday 15 October 2023. I strongly encourage all members to join me in applying to present – this is an incredible opportunity to share our work and to learn from each other.
The conference theme New Voices in Harmony seeks to embrace diverse views, traditions and identities, to show how modern Kodály-inspired teaching can reflect the society we live in. Our community by nature is resilient, innovative and inquisitive – we continue to seek and find solutions to the challenges we face to better advance music education for all. I am personally looking forward to hearing from the three already announced keynote presenters Dr Candace Kruger, Kata Körtvési and Dr Tracy Wong.
I greatly appreciate the work of Kodály Victoria and the Conference Organising Committee under the leadership of convenor (and Branch President) Renée Heron. Special thanks too to our conference administrator, Emily Dittman. I know considerable time and effort has been given by all involved.
Finally, I recommend organising your travel plans early as the conference is held in the week prior to the 2024 AFL Grand Final. What an amazing time to be in Victoria and I certainly am looking forward to catching up with you all.
With best wishes
