Connecting with you online

I hope you, your family and students are well and safe at this time. The National Council of Kodály Australia recently met and formed an organisational response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Face-to-face events
The National Council has recommended that all face-to-face branch events are postponed or cancelled until the end of Term 3 2020. A review will be conducted in May to determine the viability of events scheduled for Term 4. A reminder that if an event is cancelled, you can expect a full refund. We appreciate your patience as refunds are processed.

2020 Kodály Australia Conference
Circumstances regarding the national conference are being closely monitored. The National Council and Conference Committee will again formally review the situation at the end of April and update members accordingly.

Connecting online
Kodály Australia will continue to provide high-quality professional learning, resources and support to its members throughout this time. In response to the situation we are shifting our energy to online initiatives.

The first of these is a Kodály Australia Discussion Group on Facebook. This group aims to facilitate discussion and sharing of Kodály-inspired practice and research across the country. The group is moderated by our Australian Kodály Certificate lecturing team, and I warmly invite you to participate in the conversations and share your ideas.

The current situation presents an opportunity to unite, reflect and innovate together. You will start to see a range of online branch activities advertised to our full membership. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to share with others near and far.

I look forward to connecting with you online!

Best wishes
