I trust that this message finds you and your family well and that you are staying positive amongst these challenging circumstances.

The 2020 Kodály Australia Conference Spring into Song: Sustaining the Vision is scheduled to be held in Canberra from Monday 28 September to Thursday 1 October 2020 at Canberra Girls Grammar School. With the current uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 health emergency, we have put planning on hold for the time being and will make a decision regarding the viability of the conference proceeding at the end of May.

With things changing quickly, we are hopeful that there might be an opportunity to run the conference or a modified version of the conference as planned in 2020. This decision will be based on the best available health advice and information regarding government restrictions on travel and such events.  Once we have a clearer picture of the conference’s viability, we will survey members and the community to gauge your interest and capacity to attend the conference.  From here, we will make a decision and communicate appropriately.

We hope that things continue to improve in Australia and that we have the opportunity to share some wonderful music-making and learning with you all at the Kodály Australia Conference later this year!
