TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

Type of Membership Description Cost
Ordinary Teachers and individuals interested in the work of Kodály Australia $70
Student* Associate membership (Student) is available to one person who is enrolled in: 

  • part-time or full-time study at an Australian university completing a Bachelor of Music (any major) and/or either undergraduate or postgraduate initial teacher education (E.g. Bachelor of Education, Graduate Diploma of Education, Master of Teaching) 
  • postgraduate study at the Kodály Institute, Hungary, or the Kodály Center, University of Redlands, USA, and has previously been an ordinary member of the association 

An Associate member (Student) has all the rights and privileges of membership including communications and member rates for events, excluding voting rights.

Concession or Retired* A concession card holder and/or retired from the workforce $40
Corporate or Family* Schools, tertiary institutions, families and other interested organisations.  

Corporate/Family Membership entitles up to two people of a single corporation or other organisation (schools, tertiary institutions, family) to receive Kodály Australia communications and member rates for events of the Institute. More than two people can be added as part of a Corporate/Family Membership at an additional cost of $50 per person.  

Where a school has a multi-campus arrangement, Corporate Membership would allow effective communication and facilitate maximum involvement of up to two or more* school personnel in Kodály Australia activities.

Honorary Life Honorary Life Membership is our highest accolade and is awarded in recognition of an individual’s significant contribution to our association and service to the Australian Kodály movement. 

*A Student, Concession or Retired and Corporate or Family Membership is classified as an Associate Member. Associate members have all the rights and privileges of membership except voting rights.
