Announcing International Keynote Presenter

We are really excited to announce that the Second Keynote Presenter for the KMEIA 2018 Conference! Will be Maree Hennessy. We all know Maree well and it is with delight that we will welcome her this time as one of our International Keynote Presenters. Information about Maree is now posted on the website.  We also hope to announce another International presenter very soon!

AKC Special Announcement

In an exciting new initiative, the Branch is pleased to offer in conjunction with the Conference program a full Australian Kodály Certificate Course.  Held over two teaching blocks delivered across the term 2 and term 3 school holidays, an Early Childhood,  Primary and Secondary teacher training course will be running in Perth 2017.

Successful completion of a  level of the program can be counted towards fulfilling the requirements of the Australian Kodály Certificate.

Australian Kodaly Certificate Course Dates:

Block 1 Dates (6 days): 1-6 July 2018
Block 2 Dates (5 days): 30 September – 4 October 2018 (in conjunction with the National Conference)

AKC participants are asked to please keep 30 September 2018 free for meeting with your lecturer and assessment prior to the start of the National Conference.

Please note that classes are subject to minimum enrolment requirements.

Call for Presenters and Performers Open

Please note the deadlines for Applications to present or to bring a Performing Group. Applications close Wednesday 13 December if you would like to present an Academic Paper, Poster Session or an Elective Workshop

If would like to bring your choir or an instrumental group to perform at the concerts these applications close on Thursday 30 November (Groups notified by 12 December)

Registrations for the 2018 Conference will open shortly, in the meantime you can check some of the pricing on the Registration page. Fill out the Expression of Interest form on the same page and we will be in contact with you
