NSW: DEALING WITH PERFECTIONISM Webinar
September 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
$20.00Dr Emese Hruska is a music psychologist, musician and Assistant Professor at the Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary. She has an MA in Journalism, and studied classical and Hungarian folk violin. Emese earned her PhD at the University of Roehampton in London (United Kingdom), specializing in classical musicians’ perfectionism, performance anxiety and the potential causes of the occurrence of these issues.
The 90 minutes webinar will follow a three-part structure:
In the first part participants will learn about the differences between healthy and unhealthy forms of perfectionism. Besides theory, a practical part will take place which will help you to understand and change unwanted perfectionistic patterns.
The second part will highlight evidence-based understanding of burnout, both in teachers and students regarding risks and causes. Dr Hruska will touch upon perfectionism and social-environmental influences, which had been recognised as contributing factors of burnout.
In the third part of the webinar, participants will be asked to explore your experiences and risks of burnout. Additionally, you will be receiving brief insight into Gordon’s method of teachers’ assertive communication, which is recognised as significantly improving student-teacher relationships, and the psychological well-being of all parties involved in such relationships.
