Musicianship Workshop for Highschool Students (Years 9-12)

$120About the course:
These sessions will focus on topics related to the HSC. In particular, it will give students the tools to improve their aural skills, theoretical understanding, and analysis. The approach will be based on the movable doh system, although other systems will also be touched on. Students will learn how to apply this system to musical elements, and will come away from the course with a variety of tools that they can apply in their preparations for the HSC. While the focus will be on developing skills for the HSC Music 2 syllabus, Music 1 and Year 9 and 10 students who would like to improve their aural skills are welcome to attend.
About the teacher:
Michael Bradshaw is a music teacher at the Conservatorium High School in Sydney where he teaches classroom music. He has a Masters of Music Education from the Kodály Institute in Hungary, and is completing a PhD on the analysis of the music of Sergei Prokofiev.
When: Tuesday 10 – Friday 13 July 2018 (8.30 – 10.30 each day)
