KMEIA WA: Kodály Connect Bunbury

Ideas, Games and Inspiration: A half-day PD packed with activities you can take straight to your classroom.
Whether you are a classroom teacher or an instrumental teacher, come along to experience Kodály-inspired ideas that will engage your learners and support their musical skills. Fun and hands-on activities and ideas to take straight to your students.

Presenter: Hilary Price
Hilary Price studied Music Education at Trinity College Dublin in association with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where she achieved her Bachelor Degree in Music Education. Hilary proceeded to undertake a post-graduate Diploma at the Zoltan Kodaly Institute of Music in association with the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, in Hungary in 2009. Hilary currently teaches students from Pre-kindy to Senior School classes at Presbyterian Ladies College, Perth, WA. She has directed 5 choirs at PLC since 2012. Prior to moving to Perth, Hilary taught Music in a number of Primary and Secondary Schools in Ireland. Two of the PLC choirs, directed by Hilary will perform at the upcoming National Conference in Perth in October 2018. Hilary has also presented at a number of Professional development workshops including events hosted by KMEIA WA and ASME.
Hilary is committed to promoting and developing a positive and dynamic learning environment through inclusive, active music participation for all. Literacy and numeracy begin with education in the Arts, beginning with Early Years students. Hilary strives to challenge all students to progress from the known to the unknown to further develop their ability to participate in quality music, through performance, listening and composing.
Cost: KMEIA Members – $50, Non-Members – $65,
Tertiary Student Members – Free, Tertiary Student Non-Members – $40 (includes KMEIA Membership)
