WA: ASME Summer School

We look forward to seeing our members at the ASME WA Summer School.     

Kimberley Lloyd and Pamela Grubb will be presenting on behalf of Kodály WA. We are fortunate to have educators of Kimberley and Pamela’s calibre within our community and cannot wait to hear from them!

Kimberley’s session: Refresh your repertoire: songs, games and dances for lower primary.

Kimberley Lloyd is a highly qualified and experienced music educator with a diverse background in teaching across different countries and educational levels. Along with her Bachelor of Education in Music, Kimberley also has her Master of Music in Music Education with Kodály Emphasis from Holy Names University, California Kimberley’s dedication to the Kodály method is highlighted by her accreditation as a lecturer for the Australian Kodály Certificate. After the birth of her daughter Freya in 2021, Kimberley established her own music school, Little House of Music. This venture reflects her passion for providing music education to a wide range of students, from babies to adults. The inclusion of Professional Development opportunities for music teachers also demonstrates her commitment to enhancing the skills and knowledge of her fellow educators. Kimberley can also be found lecturing at Edith Cowan University across several Education Units.

Pamela’s session: How upper secondary teachers can integrate a Kodály approach to teaching ATAR Music.

Pamela Grubb is the Director of Music at St Mark’s Anglican Community School; an Anglican co-educational school with approximately 1900 students from K-12. She is an experienced music educator who specialises in secondary education & choral singing and has completed all three Secondary levels of the Australian Kodály Certificate.
