ACT: Music in the Middle with Tess Laird

Celebrated Kodály music educator Tess Laird (Queensland) will present this comprehensive workshop focusing on engaging learning strategies and repertoire for Years 4-8.
This workshop is a must for any music educator in classroom, instrumental, choral or community settings working with young people in the midst of developmental transition.
Tess Laird has many decades of experience in primary education as well as working with older learners as an Australian Kodály Certificate lecturer. She is highly qualified with a Master of Music Studies from the University of Queensland and a highly skilled musician in her own right with two Associate Diplomas in Music from the AMEB in Singing and Piano.
In her role as the KMEIA National Council Education Committee Convenor, for 10 years she has led the oversight of the AKC which is delivered in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
Tess is loved by so many in the music community for her supportive, caring nature, as well as her unique creative flair for responsive teaching and differentiation.
This workshop has been approved by TQI for 5 hours of accredited professional learning.
