Dear KMEIA Members

I hope this email finds you well.

I write to acknowledge and congratulate two KMEIA members.

Dr James Cuskelly has recently been elected as President of the IKS.  James was first elected to the board of the IKS in 2007 and has undertaken the role of Vice-President for the past three years.  We are delighted for James and offer our continued support as he strives to advocate for quality music education on an international level. This recent appointment is a testament to his determination and vision for the work of Kodály around the world and we wish him every success.

Maree Hennessy has been an active member of the KMEIA community for a number of years.  She is a passionate advocate for music education and continues to inspire those who attend her workshops and sessions around the country.  Maree has recently been appointed Assistant Professor of Music, Director of the Kodály Centre at Holy Names University, CA.  I know that Maree will thrive in this role and we wish her every success.

On behalf of the KMEIA National Council and all members, our sincere congratulations and best wishes to both James and Maree.

Kind regards

Joel Copeland
National President
Kodály Music Education Institute of Australia Inc.
