SUMMARY:AKC Winter School - NSW
DESCRIPTION:The NSW Branch of KMEIA will be running training towards the Australian Kodály Certificate (AKC) in 2017. Levels offered are: Early Childhood 1\, Primary 1 and Primary 2. Each Level involves attending both the Autumn School (18-21 April) and the Winter School (4-7 July) as well an Extension Studies module which is completed either at the Choral Weekend (held in October) or via an online assignment. \nEach level consists of 6 modules: Methodology\, Cultural Materials\, Teaching Techniques\, Musicianship\, Conducting and Extension Studies. The first 5 modules will be covered in the Autumn and Winter Schools. \nIt is also possible to enrol in Musicianship and/or Conducting as stand-alone subjects. DESCRIPTION:The WA Kodály Community Choir exists for community members to experience the joy of group music making. This choir provides a safe and supportive environment for you to learn to read music\, develop your vocal technique and equip you to appreciate music at a deeper level.\n \nFor music teachers\, the Choir provides an opportunity to participate and observe an experienced practitioner taking a choir from a Kodály approach.
