Fun and hands-on activities and ideas to take straight to your students. \nWhen: Saturday 5th May \nWhere: Allendale Primary School\, 52 Wittenoon St\, Geraldton \nTime: 8:45am – 12:15pm \nPlease join us for a social lunch after the workshop (note that lunch is optional and is at your own cost). \nTimetable: \nPresenter: Rosalie Scott \n \nRosalie is a music teacher at Hale School and has been an advocate for Kodály in WA for many years.  She works in the classroom with all ages from Year 1 to Year 11 students and is a vocal/choral specialist. Along with her B. Ed (Primary) and B. Mus (Voice) from UWA\, Rosalie holds the Australian Kodály Certificate and is currently the President of KMEIA WA. She regularly presents workshops for KMEIA WA and is an accredited lecturer of the Australian Kodály Certificate. Recently\, Rosalie has begun to specialise in early literacy and numeracy development through singing\, movement and singing stories. He is an experienced music educator having taught in early childhood\, primary\, secondary and tertiary settings. In 2013\, Jason established the first Every Day Music program in Western Australia at Presbyterian Ladies’ College. He has served in executive roles for both the Australian Society for Music Education and the KMEIA\, is coordinator of the WA Australian Kodály Certificate Course\, and currently chairs the 2018 Kodály National Conference Organising Committee. Jason is a past recipient of the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship awarded by the International Kodály Society. The Motion will be moved by the President and seconded by the Vice President . \nSpecial Resolution: That the newly revised 2017 Constitution be approved. \nThe Special Resolution is proposed by the Western Australian Branch Committee of the Institute with the support of the national Council of KMEIA Inc. \nThe meeting will be held at Presbyterian Ladies College Perth\, after the Branch event Spring into Kodály (Commencing at 3.45pm). \nAttendance: Please reply by email to the Branch Secretary\, Hilary Price (wa@kodaly.org.au) to advise your intention to attend.  \nA reminder notice of this Special General Meeting will be emailed to members on or about 29 October 2017. \nThe reminder will again provide the proposed constitution\, the meeting agenda and background notes to inform your decision. \nFor the Special Resolution to be approved \nThe Special Resolution requires a minimum quorum of 8 financial members present\, and the approval of at least 75% of the vote.
